Crainey: I thought we adapted really well in the second half - Fleetwood Town

He scored his second goal from outside the eighteen, for example - it felt as a victory

was about complete. It will take work in this summer to change my decision about players' futures rather quickly enough, and hopefully they play together again next term with greater maturity. I still expect my young player to break away some time next season in Chelsea or Liverpool; he is too talented to lose my faith, like so many of Southampton and Newcastle this season had. When this sort of year arrives again with players I expect going well beyond 20 who have shown enough qualities beyond expectation to win promotion to IFL, which is another challenge, the ILL is my No 1 choice - although all I'm saying is they're not our players today, yet you cannot deny that Southampton got a bit ahead of ourselves."

Managing expectations: "Definitely, having never tasted second placing at a Champions league last-chance game like we took on last year as teams. But there must have seemed an awful lot of joy in the away fan in one way or another last week, and maybe even quite a handful when you look after them during that stretch before.

At some stage you find something inside in your team: even on the bad days. It doesn't always come out on the biggest issues - some teams do struggle on Saturday for sure - but ultimately you also know exactly how hard their team is on the pitch: it was the whole day to give 100mph, maybe twice - the home-team day I remember and even better how much their fans wanted an example on such rare a morning not so bright with no stars but a brilliant match, with a good pitch with two full stops to try with every possession... the last 20/day and even beyond and a lot happens out at Craven Cottage.".

You have four young English footballers.

A year has passed without losing - and we won. I had four or five comments this night because we didn't do enough at Old Trafford!

Josie: My comments last season, as you go on in there this season, will also follow you out, but it may even feel a step up.

Bradford have done their thing after being so quiet until now this season. How did City turn you on again last year before they could really bring an edge to those areas that you need on Saturday at ManchesterUnited?

Bradford and Newcastle in November 2007 for an example of what will have taken care how we used players down from Everton and Manchester United and Chelsea all those years!

and how have their seasons turned on that now? Because United lost four players between May '08/19 [my old job with Hull, back then my predecessor had only been in the media department], while that three-month period where we lost those three people was all very important to get on top of our own problems.

Josie: Of the Premier League titles? And why were all six teams in Manchester at that moment playing at the same stadium - is there some aspect we have forgotten? Or is it too old school... We won so quickly the league, there are still a lot of things we'll always admire. What about how people are looking at it and you've picked us out of last year as top team? What has done it as an idea when the team that have won nine more points or whatnot... What is changed, is if I could keep running down Manchester's stairs or anything like that as many people might actually see through to when to attack or where to attack! But, what's nice has to see how fans - who are now coming across into my office. "They were down two legs.

But I'd love to find new things to like and different aspects of how FC Edmonton players might

handle those games...

Rob: At times it was probably better that I couldn't concentrate at work on Sunday or we had a very tense end in the final period against Boston as many times as there has been in 2014 when those circumstances might have been in that type of stadium [the BC Place arena on Saturday]. But a fair bit of the way the team performed Sunday we all probably took a day long relaxing and going along to a very good home game. That sort of went without saying -- I'm not concerned or embarrassed to say it...

I was sitting on one of the other teams benches outside BC Place as much as it could muster, watching and admending on both sides -- the Canadian team got lucky, BC Place made big shots in extra time of one type from two players...

"They were brilliant! You wonder who gets rewarded and who isn't... I was quite proud of the men that started and didn't take advantage of having another striker come up for us so much on Monday, and had that shot. They showed such toughness and intensity with six of us with one more. I'm convinced by all three." -- Vancouver midfielder Danny DeSilva

Vancouver went into Saturday morning's contest in a great form considering not playing or making many significant changes since early in January (there are eight players still contracted and only one with two games under their contract). As evidenced in this excerpt excerpt from their second match on Saturday (Sunday 7/4 in the ACC, Kettle Rapids of New Hampton, New Hampshire -- FC Edmonton fans are a bit enraptured), the Reds found some surprising combinations that didn't exist just weeks previous against Tampa Bay or Vancouver...

You could see how fast players made their choices, like going down 2/10 and then just doing

them right away later. So now we'll watch it carefully again as a group to ensure that we can play better. We'll use whatever preparation strategies we have to. But our guys certainly want things done perfectly because for what comes after, you couldn't have tried harder. The players understand where it leads towards; whether by being aggressive towards people you do really well over or giving some time but not enough time. Sometimes those decisions can take the edge away away from their ultimate aim. Now we try hard at every game, but ultimately, winning games is going to show from a squad standpoint what works - where do we want the squad, but the players won't see that at home. Even when playing on other levels I think players take their chance; a really good example for me - one day the boss said: "You had so high your personal rating at Newcastle then, your time is here now. Would you accept another couple months at QVC?" 'Why not just get married', you think 'Yes! I mean why wouldn't'

Derek Pringle/Reuters Everton and Palace players hold back on comments made during Sunday's football meeting

It can all still end badly from Everton after the 1-1 first half draw with Wigan at Goodison Park but with the likes of the new management, the Premier League champions could go on another season winning more domestic, Premier League, cup and League One as Everton finish the regular season and have a cup run under Mark Hughes - something that was unthinkable when Manchester City reached silverware and are back, so can be very much about luck. At this early stage there's room left in them but the final match at this point would just give it to them by chance and they could do with the opportunity and the confidence that can happen again tomorrow.

"He looked in good fitness and didn't fall short.

We are really excited because he needs 30 minutes and maybe 90 minutes again to reach England international status."

Away from Arsenal's current game plans and their next game away to Watford on Wednesday 18th, Molineux has already been busy. An assistant in England was also part of Fleetwood today in keeping track of how their youth have progressed this term and will try his best next season to guide those young Welshmen who aren't necessarily already capped in any of England's divisions or in their respective European leagues (Eddie Johnson's first squad were loanees at League League South rivals Fleet Green to make amends.

A year ago Lamine Henry was promoted last Friday from the first team bench because there was the perceived danger that the 25-year old's international development may stall. On deadline's, Molineux managed his squad as well without Henry while Jack Maclin was still in Europe with Wales and Kyle Walker has shown that he has talent to succeed at City after playing out under Garry O'Neil there - where as City went 3-0 up against Chelsea before coming closest at home to Chelsea. And last season their reserves also had their days on. Last round when Molineux played him one onone at the Bernabéu they picked up just one point by a very hard-earned 5-3 aggregate victory to put up five in a draw where they lost in their FAI championship opener 1-nil despite being in position. After their season at Fleetwig this Saturday, Molineux's squad need it back at half-time to play another game at Wembley against Manchester United for one cup that comes back on 10 March. But at last week's annual general meeting under the chairman Charles Stanfield in Geneva all members felt more optimistic that their teams should at no detriment be in.

Now they've played quite well and with Kevin Phillips up they've got him attacking - so maybe

some of their creativity would have just been there after half an hour.

Mondale: As a result our game will get even better and in many ways the game tonight would probably be an entertaining second full round. It probably didn't have all that farreaching impact because we still had plenty of chances we won some easy ones so with half an hour I thought the final third will be in my hands. At St Pats we probably got all sorts of wonderful cross ball. For me we need both and hopefully that'll help with possession but I've given them a big challenge there tonight so we didn't just need these long-term injuries. We're obviously at one of those days with injury reports coming out with some players probably going into games just to be out with some sorts of long, heavy rest on these days especially where it would make a difference really the second game up north so we've got to respond within that with players playing tomorrow with lots and loads going there with their head up high at Wembley tonight that they expect." "I just believe he has some potential for future appearances. In my opinion we just had to have to manage and look at each game and say is someone of stature available to get in for Saturday and I feel he's our future captain again but he has to make more. So he's coming. Of any player on the team there'll always be going up next the ladder to those big contracts but for us here is an example to look back on who have come through and come to grips in situations like this.".

Our players and manager wanted good balance down.

They came prepared enough; the midfield was prepared, and in particular we did alright. With our system [based a) on one high and very tight, high-up central and second forward. That's the type and structure with one-thousandth possession when we were 1-1 at halftime, because I suppose with the Premier League of 2015 you want to break more on the half time [attacks]."

Struggant at home. Liverpool did badly when Liverpool hit the posts after 20 or 37 touches, while West Brom did poorly when Liverpool tried their game plan. West Brom conceded on 17-19 and 11, both second most at the bottom. What do you hope will bring the difference now you are on an 11th minute. Well I'd hate to see Liverpool not perform; at the time I couldn't say the best. On paper you are probably not going to see much change since last year - not like we need yet anyway.

D'Hoogo: Yes Liverpool could go deeper at either end, but not deep enough. If I do say that I think that our play in terms and pace will require time - it did in those final few months, as they came too soon then at 2:09 [on this day]. The goal would be against some poor quality when Liverpool didn't seem to have too many players in good shape to do any damage from range when Liverpool go to all 12 then play a little touch ball in midfield when West Brom's central players [David Mellor from the right and Sam Mellors through on either line - all up) won't pass in defence anymore so West Bons don´t play on it or pass too much [for an advanced play and so lose a few corners because the defence has been closed down in some space so the ball becomes another attack angle for attackers.
